GK Foundation Pune, in association with leading hospitals and social organizations, organized a free mega health camp exclusively for police officers and staff in Umarga, Latur District. The camp successfully provided comprehensive health checkups to 223 participants, ensuring that frontline workers responsible for public safety also receive essential healthcare support.
The camp offered specialized consultations in cardiology, orthopedics, gynecology, dentistry, dermatology, physiotherapy, and ophthalmology. Expert doctors from J.K. Foundation Pune, Care Medical Center Pune, and Solapur Hospitals joined hands to conduct screenings, provide free medicines, and guide patients on preventive care. The initiative was designed to address stress-related health issues and lifestyle diseases faced by police personnel due to their demanding work schedules.
The program also emphasized awareness about nutrition, diabetes management, blood pressure monitoring, stress control, and women’s health. Many officers and their families expressed gratitude for receiving specialized care and guidance, which otherwise is difficult to access in rural and semi-urban regions.
GK Foundation Pune has been consistently working towards making quality healthcare accessible for underprivileged families, rural communities, and essential service providers such as police officers. From free cataract surgeries, child heart surgery sponsorships, dialysis support, and cancer care assistance, the foundation continues to expand its outreach across Maharashtra.
